- Product introduction
1. Name
Chinese Name: Sodium fusidicate English Name:Sodium Fusidate
2. Structural Formula
Molecular formula:C31H47NaO6 molecular weight:538.70 CASNumber:751-94-0
3. Function and Use
Fusidic acid was extracted from the fermentation of fusidic acid spheres and then salt with sodium hydroxide. It is a narrow-band, highly effective antibiotic against Gram-positive bacteria widely used abroad. Sodium fusidicate has bactericidal effect by inhibiting the protein synthesis of bacteria, and has strong antimicrobial effect on a series of Gram-positive bacteria. Maintaining strong antimicrobial activity and low resistance rate to most staphylococcal strains has attracted more and more attention and become a new choice for resistant Staphylococcus aureus.
It is mainly used to treat various infections caused by various sensitive bacteria, especially staphylococcus. It has very low toxicity and no cross-allergy with other antibiotics used clinically. It can be used to treat patients who are contraindicated to other antibiotics, such as those allergic to penicillin or other antibiotics.
